 Since 1720 the Krieger family has been driven by a passion for adding value to the most precious gemstones and unusual diamonds. And it is since this time that members of the Krieger family in Idar-Oberstein have been closely associated with trading and processing precious gemstones. It all began when we started polishing agates and gemstones. We began polishing diamonds in 1896 and in 1935 we founded our diamond cutting operations. Our vision of creating a unique item of jewelry for every unique gemstone led us in 1967 to establish our own in house goldsmith and setting design studio. This was when we first started creating individual pieces of jewelry and marked the start of a new era for our company. In 1993 we expanded our jewelry making business to include working with platinum. The Krieger family has been dedicated, together with all their employees, to the basic company philosophy: uncompromising quality workmanship in creating perfect visual harmony between natural colored gemstones and settings made of gold and platinum.
